Our Heritage

What is Ceylon Ayurveda?

Ceylon Ayurveda is Sri Lanka's distinct branch of the ancient healing science. While rooted in the same Vedic foundations as Indian Ayurveda, it developed its own unique herbal formulations, treatment protocols, and clinical traditions over thousands of years.

Sri Lanka's unique biodiversity — its native herbs, spices, and medicinal plants — gave Ceylon Ayurveda a distinctly powerful pharmacopoeia. Treatments like Kizhi, Shirodhara, and Panchakarma are delivered here with traditional Ceylon methods passed down through generations of practitioners.

At Krishi Ayurveda, we honour this heritage and bring it intact to Perth.

Founder & Ayurvedic Practitioner

Krishan founded Krishi Ayurveda with a clear vision: to make authentic Ceylon Ayurvedic healing available to the Perth community. With his BAMS (Hons) degree and IICT accreditation, he brings the full depth of Sri Lankan Ayurvedic tradition to every consultation.

His specialties include therapeutic treatments for chronic pain, Panchakarma and Purva Karma detox therapies, neurological support, and personalised dosha-based treatment planning. Krishan's approach is grounded in clinical science while remaining true to traditional practice.

Holistic Health Practitioner & Clinic Admin

Hasanthi brings a unique dual expertise to Krishi Ayurveda — combining her BAMS (Hons) clinical qualification with a Master of Health Administration. This means patients receive not only excellent Ayurvedic care, but a clinic experience that is organised, safe, and professionally managed.

She specialises in holistic wellness care, women's health, digestive conditions, and skin therapies. Her warm, methodical approach ensures every patient feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their healing journey.
